The Governor of Illinois has just issued a “stay at home” order essentially closing all “non-essential” businesses. As of 3:35 PM on 3/20/20, Illinois has not defined what is an essential business. As a public health laboratory, Suburban Laboratories should be considered an essential business as other states with similar mandates have determined. Until we hear otherwise, Suburban Laboratories will remain open to serve our customers.
